This Expert Forum Webinar will discuss workflow issues that have occurred due to COVID-19 and anticipated workflow as the pandemic diminishes. Topics to be discussed are the effects of the pandemic on practice volumes and finances and strategies for recovery, allocation of personnel including trainees during a time of social distancing and screening and triage of patients prior to diagnostic studies and procedures.  In the absence of an imminent vaccine, it is advisable to develop a plan for mitigation of a potential recurrent wave of COVID-19.

In this Expert Forum Webinar, Dr. Robert Judd, Professor of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine, will provide a brief review of the current literature on this topic, review Cardiac MRI imaging exams from post-COVID patients, and invite you to participate in a new multicenter initiative by the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) to track these post-COVID cardiac findings.

Cardiac MRI in an Era of COVID-19

In the fight to end breast cancer, the best defense is regular screening. To beat it, you must find it.  Find it early and your chances of winning are greater.  What’s needed is a mammography exam that goes wider and deeper in pursuit of the clinical data needed for a confident diagnosis. In this Expert Forum, Dr. Jennifer Doe will explore the value of wide-angle breast tomosynthesis and its effect on breast imaging.  Dr. Doe will offer a review of clinical cases using wide-angle technology.

The Impact of Wide-angle DBT in Mammography

Dr. Laurie Fajardo shares her experience with the set-up and use of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) in clinical practice.  Participants will hear about system design, the impact on clinical performance, and how to best manage recall rates. In addition through carefully selected cases, Dr. Fajardo will share her approach to image interpretation and how one can manage DBT workflow effectively.

The Foundation of Integrating DBT Into Your Practice

With the advent of spectral CT, a plethora of reconstructions are now available for image analysis and use in daily practice.  Please join Dr. Nils Große Hokamp from University Hospital Cologne in this Expert Forum Webinar where he will share fundamental concepts of spectral CT and image reconstruction for oncologic imaging through a case-based presentation.

Rethinking Oncologic Imaging with Spectral CT

Dr. Laurie Fajardo discusses the importance of radiation dose reduction with synthetic 2D, reviews the published literature on the performance of synthetic 2D mammography, and shares how DBT can impact data storage and network data transmission across your PACS and enterprise system.

The Application of Integrating DBT Into Your Practice

Dr. Laurie Fajardo addresses the radiologist’s challenges associated with dense breast imaging and interpretation through discussion and case presentation of interval breast cancer.  This includes issues associated with assigning breast cancer risk to breast density and qualitative versus quantitative methods for assessing, and reporting breast density and risk assessment.

DBT, Breast Density, and Artificial Intelligence

In this Expert Forum, Dr. Susan Weinstein will discuss the utility and clinical value of Breast MRI in assessing treatment response in patients undergoing neoadjuvant therapy.

Treatment Response Assessment with Breast MRI

Dr. Dean J. Phillips concludes by taking you step-by-step through interesting and challenging cases he has collected which highlight the benefits of digital breast tomosynthesis in identifying cancers missed on standard FFDM, particularly in patients with dense breasts.

A Clinical Review: Benefits of Tomosynthesis in Daily Practice

This Expert Forum Webinar features a panel of experts in their respective areas of medical imaging including; Nuclear Medicine, Urology, and Oncology.  Each will share their experiences of the clinical utility of PSMA-11 PET/CT and its impact on patient management; delivering a clear understanding of the benefits of PSMA-11 imaging.

PSMA Imaging: Current Status & Prospects

CT scanning is a critical part of evaluating patients in the ED. Integrating spectral reconstructions into CT protocols can significantly improve patient outcomes by providing rapid and accurate diagnosis, which can help increase the radiologists’ confidence. By providing a window into physiologic alterations and tissue characterization beyond conventional CT, Spectral CT enables customized contrast protocols, which among many things; can help to reduce the likelihood of contrast induced nephropathy.
