SHORT BIO
Zainul Aabdin is currently group leader of the Advance in-situ Microscopy (AiM) group at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE). He completed his Ph.D. in applied physics from the University of Tuebingen, Germany and after doing a postdoc at NUS, He started his carrier as a research scientist at IMRE in 2017. His research group focuses on building a new metrology platform based on in-situ (scanning) transmission electron microscope (STEM/TEM) technique tailored for industry-relevant nanoscale processes. The group study a variety of physical and chemical processes of materials dynamic in solid, liquid and gas media at nanoscale using the customized in-situ platform. Zainul has over 40 refereed publications, many in the top 10% journals such as Nano Letters and Advanced Materials.
